SUMMARY:OT Office Hours: A Conversation with Kristin King
DESCRIPTION:Securing What Feeds Us: A Conversation with Kristin King \n\n\n\nIn July\, Coca-Cola told the SEC that attackers had reached production systems at its Fairlife dairy business. Every U.S. plant stopped. Weeks later\, nobody outside the company could say cleanly whether the intrusion touched the plant floor or whether production halted because the systems feeding it went dark first. If you work in OT\, you already know why that distinction matters\, and why so few food and ag operators can answer it about their own facilities. \n\n\n\nWe’re sitting down with Kristin King to talk about her new book and what OT security actually looks like on a farm\, in a feed mill\, or on a processing line. \n\n\n\nDateTuesday\, October 13\, 2026 \n\n\n\nTime3:00 PM Eastern \n\n\n\nHosted bySamantha Becker\, Insane Cyber \n\n\n\nWhat We’ll Be Talking About\n\n\n\nFood and agriculture rarely make the list when people picture OT security\, and that’s exactly the problem. The Food and Ag-ISAC has tracked 220 ransomware attacks against food and beverage organizations in 2026 alone\, involving 46 criminal groups\, putting the sector close to its full-year 2025 total with five months still on the calendar. Most of those never make the news. The ones that do\, JBS in 2021\, Fairlife this summer\, follow the same shape: enterprise systems get hit\, production stops anyway\, and the org chart turns out to be a poor map of what’s actually connected to what. \n\n\n\nSamantha and Kristin will get into where the risk really lives across the food supply chain\, from ag-tech in the field to processing\, distribution\, and retail\, and what happens when food\, water\, and energy systems are all leaning on each other. Segmentation\, third-party access\, and knowing what’s actually on your network come up a lot in these conversations\, mostly because they’re the things that separate the plants that keep running from the ones that don’t. Expect practical talk\, not theory\, and plenty of room for your questions. \n\n\n\nAbout Our Guest\n\n\n\nKristin KingFounder & CEO\, AnzenSage · Co-Founder\, AnzenOT \n\n\n\nKristin King is a Cybersecurity and Operational Technology risk management expert specializing in food\, agriculture\, zoo\, and aquarium infrastructure. She is the founder of AnzenSage and co-founder/CEO of AnzenOT\, helping industries that grow\, feed\, and inspire the world protect what matters most. With experience spanning environmental management\, gorilla research\, and more than 25 years in technology\, Kristin brings a grounded\, systems-based approach to her work. She also hosts the award-winning Bites & Bytes Podcast and is the author of the Wiley book “Securing What Feeds Us: Cybersecurity in Food and Agriculture”. \n\n\n\nKristin’s new book\, Securing What Feeds Us: Cybersecurity in Food and Agriculture (Wiley)\, will be out soon. \n\n\n\nOT Office Hours is a recurring conversation series from Insane Cyber\, makers of Valkyrie and Cygnet\, built for anyone working to keep industrial and OT environments running safely.

SUMMARY:OT Office Hours: Scott Bowman and Dan Gunter on AI in Cyber-Physical Systems
DESCRIPTION:Register to attendAI is moving quickly into industrial environments\, but the practical questions are still being worked out: Where can it actually help OT defenders? What does effective early detection look like in real operating environments? And how can research translate into tools and practices operators can use today? \n\n\n\nFor this OT Office Hours\, Scott Bowman of Idaho National Laboratory joins Insane Cyber Founder and CEO Dan Gunter. \n\n\n\nThey’ll discuss Scott’s work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and operational technology\, the Department of Energy’s CyOTE approach to detecting cyber activity earlier\, and what those ideas look like when applied to real-world OT monitoring. \n\n\n\nThe conversation will also explore where national laboratory research and industry can learn from each other — and how stronger collaboration can help move useful ideas from research into operational environments. \n\n\n\nAs always\, OT Office Hours is built around conversation\, not presentations. Bring your questions and join the discussion. \n\n\n\nWhat We’ll Cover\n\n\n\n\nWhat INL is learning about the use of AI in OT and cyber-physical environments\n\n\n\nHow CyOTE approaches early detection of cyber activity in operational environments\n\n\n\nWhere AI can provide practical value to OT defenders today — and where expectations may be ahead of reality\n\n\n\nHow research\, operational experience\, and purpose-built OT monitoring can complement one another\n\n\n\nOpportunities for stronger collaboration between industry and national laboratories\n\n\n\nLive audience Q&A\n\n\n\n\nWho Should Attend\n\n\n\nThis session is designed for OT and ICS security practitioners\, control system engineers\, critical infrastructure asset owners\, security leaders\, and IT teams taking on greater responsibility for operational environments. \n\n\n\nIf you’re trying to understand how AI and emerging detection approaches may affect OT security in practice\, this conversation is for you. \n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n\nScott Bowman\, CISSP\, GICSPTechnical Lead\, Cyber-Physical SystemsIdaho National Laboratory \n\n\n\nScott is a Technical Lead for Cyber-Physical Systems in Idaho National Laboratory’s Applied AI and Advanced Computing division. His work focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence\, cybersecurity\, operational technology\, and industrial control systems. \n\n\n\nDan GunterFounder & CEO\, Insane Cyber \n\n\n\nDan Gunter is the Founder and CEO of Insane Cyber\, where he works with critical infrastructure organizations to improve visibility\, threat detection\, and incident response across operational technology environments. \n\n\n\nModerator: Samantha BeckerSales and Marketing Director\, Insane Cyber \n\n\n\nREGISTER NOW
