OT environments weren’t built to be monitored like IT. They’re distributed, fragile, full of legacy systems, and packed with operational constraints that make most security approaches unrealistic.
Insane Cyber exists because we’ve seen what that looks like in the real world.
In 2020, our founder—an actual OT cybersecurity practitioner—spent countless hours digging through spreadsheets and piecing together incomplete signals just to answer basic questions: What assets do we have? What’s normal? What changed? What’s risky right now? That experience wasn’t unique. After speaking with asset owners across critical infrastructure and industrial operations, we heard the same frustrations repeatedly: visibility gaps, tool limitations, and a constant tradeoff between security and uptime.
We started Insane Cyber to help OT teams move beyond patchwork monitoring and blind spots.
Our goal is simple: make OT security more practical in the environments you actually run—remote sites, legacy assets, and networks where traditional solutions can’t deploy. By converging host and network data, we help teams expand coverage, reduce uncertainty, and uncover threats that would otherwise go unnoticed.
Because you shouldn’t need perfect conditions—or perfect data—to protect critical operations.
