Why Insane Cyber? 

People often think of forensics as reactive – “break glass in case of emergency,” but we at Insane Cyber do more. Our solutions are more than just forensics, and more than just in case of emergency. Our products and services are both for proactive protection and monitoring, as well as reactive in the event of an incident.  

Why would you call yourselves Insane? 

We like to think of “insane” as describing something unique, mind-blowing, and breaking boundaries – which is exactly the value we always try to transfer to our products. We always want to push the limits of traditional cybersecurity products and services. It’s a badge of honor for us.   

How’d you come up with these names? 

So glad you asked. We spent a lot of time talking about our products, what they do, and how we want them to be perceived. We looked at symbols of strength and power, as we always want our clients to feel empowered using our tools and services. We were drawn to Norse mythology and the strong symbolism found within it. We’re a little nerdy, what can we say?  

Valkyrie Automated Security  

In Norse mythology, the Valkyrie were winged women who guided souls from the battlefield. We chose this name for our platform because it can help guide you through the cyber battlefield – whether you’re a junior analyst or have done OT incident response for years.  

Cygnet Flyaway Kit  

Our Cygnet Flyaway Kit is the physical extension of our Valkyrie platform. A cygnet is a baby swan, which were symbolic of the Valkyrie in mythology. Plus, our flyaway kits are compact – like a baby swan. See what we did there?  

Corvus xMDR  

Corvus is a genus of birds that includes crows and ravens, who were often companions of the Valkyrie in mythology. Ravens are often symbolic of intelligence and insights, and that’s what we provide through our Corvus xMDR service. We’ll act as an extension of your team, using our Valkyrie platform to glean network and data insights, detect threats, triage alerts, and help you respond.  

What’s xMDR?  

You get the best of both worlds – we’re combining the traditional features of MDR services with the more comprehensive approach of XDR. Through our Valkyrie Automated Security platform’s host and network monitoring capabilities, integrations with other common cybersecurity tools, and our team’s expertise you get a tailored managed service program that fits your organization’s unique needs.  

Aesir Professional Services  

The Aesir are a class of gods in Norse mythology, including Odin and Thor. The Aesir were responsible for preventing the giants from their attempts to drag the world into chaos. Through our Aesir services, we help our clients plan to avoid chaos, including developing incident response plans, table-topping scenarios, and restoring resilience after an attack.
